I have a question if you have time. I’ve heard aluminum heads will make a difference on a servi. Is this true? If so, is it because they run cooler being aluminum or are the heads actually machined different than stock? What parts I would need to change a ’65 servi over to high compression aluminum heads?
Thanks again,
Joe
Hello, Joe!
Aluminum heads do run cooler. That does help. Is it noticeable? Not really. If you are running stock one bar iron heads and switch to the high compression aluminum (6:1), you will notice some difference. That’s really where the difference comes from, the compression. You’ll get more with a Mikuni carb, or a sprocket change in my opinion but it doesn’t hurt.
Here’s a list of the parts you’ll need. I added all the options as far as finishes.
Heads: 16682-39
Head Gaskets:
- Asbestos – 16768-39
- Copper – 16769-39
Motor Mount:
- Cad – 16856-40
- Park – 16856-40P
- Chrome – 16856-40C
Motor Mount Spacers:
- Cad – 16860-40
- Park – 16860-40P
- Chrome – 16860-40C
Motor Mount Bolt – (you may have this already):
- Cad – 9780-5
- Park – 9781-5
- Chrome – 9779-5
Washer Set:
- Cad – 16822-39
- Park – 16822-39
- Chrome – 16822-39C
Headbolt Set:
- Cad – 7711-18-45
- Park – 9705-18-45
- Chrome – 8217-18-45
That should be all you would need for the conversion. Let me know if you have any questions or need anything else!
Thank you,
Abe

How to Create Your Account
Welcome to our new website!
Out with the old and in with the new. I know change can be hard… but we want to make the switch as easy as we can!
If you’ve shopped with us on the old site, your email may already be in the new system! If it says your email is already attached to an account, just click the “Lost your password?’ words under login. It will send a password reset link to your email so you can finish setting up your account. “My Account” is right under our logo on most pages. You’ll also find “My Account” at the bottom of most pages. If you don’t get the password reset email, let us know by phone or email and we can resend it for you.

If you are making a purchase: Add items to the cart, click on the cart icon in the lower right corner and continue to checkout. At check out, click the checkbox right under the email to create an account automatically when you check out. See it circled in red below.

If it says your email is already in our system, click ‘Returning Customer? Click here to login’ and then click ‘Lost your password?’ to get a reset link and add your password to your account.

You can also make a purchase without setting up an account. But we highly recommend taking the extra step to log into your account so you can have advantages such as:
- Items in your cart will remain stay in the cart for a week
- You can use the “Save For Later” feature on any item in your cart that you’d like to keep handy for a future purchase
- You can sign up to be notified if an out of stock item comes back in stock
- You can view your purchase history with the new site (sorry, the purchase history for the old site was not able to be transferred over)
- You can view tracking information for your orders from your account
- You can save payment information so you won’t have to re-enter it next time
If you have any problems or questions, don’t hesitate to call or email us. We’re here to help!
